Kevin J. McHale is an associate at Youman & Caputo. McHale, a Philadelphia-area native and former Ivy League student-athlete, vigorously represents and fights for catastrophically injured victims and their families.
McHale has significant experience as a litigator and is comfortable handling high-stakes litigation and high-pressure cases. Before joining Youman & Caputo, he practiced at an Am Law 200 defense firm, specifically in the firm’s well-respected medical malpractice group, where he successfully litigated complex catastrophic injury and medical malpractice cases from start to finish. McHale uses the valuable skills and insight he gained as a defense attorney to effectively represent his Philadelphia medical malpractice victims and their families.
Working as co-counsel with the firm’s founding partners, McHale has already helped recover more than $25 million for the firm’s clients.
McHale graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in criminology, and he lettered multiple years as a member of the Men’s Heavyweight Rowing team. McHale was also a two-time national champion in high school at St. Joseph’s Prep, and he relies on the same work ethic and competitive spirit that fueled his rowing career to drive his success in the courtroom.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, McHale earned a full merit scholarship to Villanova Law School. While at Villanova, McHale excelled in a litigation-based curriculum, including courses designed to test his pre-trial motion practice, deposition skills and overall trial advocacy abilities. He was a member of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, and one of McHale’s articles was chosen and selected for publication in the Texas Environmental Law Journal, overseen by the State Bar of Texas. The article was selected over similar pieces written by seasoned attorneys.
McHale was raised in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and now resides in Center City, Philadelphia.
